If you're looking for a church to call home, we would love to have you visit one of our house churches. If you'd just like to learn more about house church, we welcome you to come and experience it firsthand! Here's how:

We will get in contact with you to connect you with a house church pastor in our network. They will tell you about their group, sharing when and where they meet, and answering any other questions you have.

3. Plan your visit.

We can't wait to see you at house church! Let your house church pastor know when you'll be coming, and see the FAQ below or contact your house church pastor for answers to any other questions you may have.

FAQ:

Each of our house churches varies a bit in the order in which they do things and whether or not they include all of the following elements each week. That being said, here is a general idea of what you can expect in a Roots house church meeting:

- Fellowship (in some groups, through a meal)

- Worship (some groups have musicians who lead in live worship, others listen to worship recordings, others simply sing together)

- Interactive discussion centered on the question, "What has Jesus been doing in your life?"

- Discussing Scripture together

- Teaching from the house church pastor or another church member

- Prayer and ministry time to one another

- Communion (open to all believers)

Some of our groups offer children's ministry during house church. On our form above, you can indicate if you'd like to attend a group with children's ministry. Many of our groups do not presently have the capacity to offer children's ministry, but they do welcome children to join in the meeting. We believe Jesus can speak to and through our children, and we welcome their participation with the rest of the adults. Some parents also may choose to bring quiet activities for their children to keep them engaged.

No, you are welcome to come empty-handed! If you'd like to bring a Bible to follow along in the discussion, you are welcome to. If you don't have one, we'd love to gift you one to keep! We welcome your voice as we discuss what Jesus has been doing in our lives and what we believe he may be speaking to the group. We believe everyone can minister, and that our body is strengthened the more we get to see Jesus through one another. So, if you feel comfortable sharing, we'd love to hear what Jesus is doing in your life! If you'd prefer to just come and listen as you get acquainted, that's alright too.
